Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

The era of great civilizations came and went, brought to ash by machines of their creation. A thousand years passed, and the remnants of humanity reside in small pockets of land free from the toxic miasma produced by the surrounding Sea of Corruption.

In one such land lies the Valley of the Wind, a small kingdom by the sea that receives strong wind that dissipates the miasma. There lives the princess Nausicaa. Chosen to represent her father in a military campaign far from home, she cannot imagine what role fate has for her, and for what the future will bring...
